Michael F. Jones - Portraiture and Fine Art Photography. My primary interest is in portraiture and artistic interpretation of the human form and my studio is located in Manchester, NH.
Originally trained in anthropology and engineering, I enjoy photography as a means of artistic expression. I've done fieldwork in remote regions of Central America as well as original research on the Boni and Djuka tribes of Surinam. I also went on an expedition to Eritrea during a resurgence of war with Ethiopia and co-founded a program to supply books for children in remote villages.
Being an entrepreneur, I've built several successful companies in the areas of renewable energy, money-handling equipment, encryption technology and electronic commerce. I thoroughly enjoy complete immersion in the creative process and have been granted seven U.S. patents.
My goal in portraiture and artistic interpretation of the human form is to create compelling images of enduring value through collaboration with interesting people. I'm inspired by working with talented individuals who have a highly developed sense of curiosity and aesthetics: Musicians, poets, dancers, models, photographers, makeup artists, stylists, actors, philosophers, scientists, engineers, writers, painters and designers. I look forward to hearing from you!
